Postnatal Massage

A postnatal massage is as beneficial to Mums who have just given birth as it was whilst you were pregnant. For generations families have given new mums a daily, full body massage during the first few weeks after the delivery. It is said to strengthen her and help healing whilst recovering from labour and the birth.

They say that a post pregnancy massage can help;

  • Increases the blood flow and oxygen to your muscles, which will get rid of the toxins that are making your sore and help your muscles relax.

  • Induces good sleep

  • Your body releases Oxytocin’s, those are the hormones that trigger your milk.

  • Endorphins, which are our natural pain killers are released.

Even for Mums who have had a C-section.
Once your wound has healed, and your Doctor has said you are OK, massaging the scar tissue can help smooth out the scar.

The massage to this area will also help increase the circulation, which in turn helps the internal healing process.
